A Farewell To Soul Places
“Maybe it’s possible to have more than one home. Maybe it’s possible to belong in a hundred different ways to a hundred different people and places.”
—Emily Henry, 'Book Lovers'
We are MOVING! We are leaving behind the ethereal salt marshes and magical oak forests of the majestic California Central Coast for the enchanted waterfalls, lush woods and verdant hills of quaint, Upstate New York!
I can hardly believe it now that it's finally happening, we never thought we'd leave California. I had planned on growing roots here, my art bound to the land my heart beats to.
But this just goes to show that pieces of my soul are scattered far and beyond, and as humans we're more adaptable than we think, capable of unimagined levels of change and renewal.
And so begins the eternal, bittersweet ritual of saying goodbye - to once-upon dreams, secret places and wonder walks that have nourished us this past decade; storing up memories like perfume vials of hiraeth; pledging forever bonds in tearful gatherings with kindred spirits.
So much art was born in this enchanted realm, I am forever changed by it.

"Thank you Amy for your beautiful work and for your spirit. I don't even know how long I have been on your list but I am so glad I am. I feel nourished and awakened after reading, looking and listening to your work. I even learned about the Narwhal which I never knew existed. I love when my world opens up a bit wider. Astonishing! Thank You! I look forward to my next wonder walk."
