Hi everyone, do check out the new featured project on our website-Gulita and Danny’s Capri wedding stationery! The images for the project is up as well so just click on the link to see the images in the gallery.
Gulita and Danny were very inspired by images of previous Capri weddings designed by Sugokuii Weddings & Events Capri with exterior shots photographed by Umberto D’aniello Photography and these featured prominently in their moodboard snippet below. Thank you Diana of Sugokuii for allowing us to use some of their beautiful photographs in this post!
Design Brief: Gulita and Danny from UK approached the studio in a sort of semi-panic, they had very little time left and wanted wedding day-of stationery for their beautiful wedding in Capri, Italy. They had fallen in love with a map I had painted for another client in vivid blues and pinks and wanted us to create something for them in a similar vein. The stationery needed to reflect their gorgeous wedding location, classy tastes but still be youthfully fun! The challenge was then to create something striking yet simple and luxurious within the short time frame that we had to work with.
We selected a beautiful handmade thick cotton watercolor paper in white for the set and thin satin ribbon for the program wraps. The overall look was one of clean lines, gorgeous paper textures, splashes of color and bold, dark, whimsical hand-lettered calligraphy.
We came up with a program wrap that had a main illustration of Capri on the right and the program details on the left. Gulita wanted it to wrap around vintage handkerchiefs she had been collecting. A thin satin ribbon kept the whole thing together and a little tag with ‘Joyful Tears’ finished off the packet.
The stationery also included a little hand-painted map card that showed the wedding events graphically on one side, and the itinerary on the reverse.
Table and place cards had a hand-painted ‘dipped’ edge.
A matching wedsite with illustrations and hand lettering from her stationery suite completed the set!
